From pioneering the development of living hinges over 40 years ago, J.L. Clark now produces the widest variety of plastic containers for a multitude of applications and markets. With our extensive product development capability, including rapid prototyping, we are able to assist in every stage of the design cycle – and then speed production through our ISO 9001:2000 certified plastic injection molding facility. Post-molding capabilities are available too, including door-closing, labeling and even filling.
But what's really exciting are the products and capabilities now beginning to fill our 'plastics pipeline', including:
- In-mold labeling: giving customers a consistently high-quality graphic, while reducing the time and expense of post-mold secondary labeling operations.
- Thin-wall molding: thinner walls can quickly add up to a considerable savings in material cost, particularly when volumes are large.
- Clarifiers: by using new polypropylene clarifiers, we can create containers that clearly display the contents, adding unique consumer appeal.
- Biodegradable plastics: biodegradable, corn-based bioplastics are right around the corner, and just in time to help the growing need for containers that are easy and economical to recycle.
