J.L. Clark introduces ‘low-cost, tight seal’ plastic hinge for metal containers
ROCKFORD, IL, January 3, 2007 – Specialty packaging manufacturer J.L. Clark has introduced a new plastic-ring hinge that provides a tight, secure, and easy closure method for metal containers.
The new plastic-ring hinge closure from J.L. Clark enables manufacturers to take advantage of all the benefits of J.L. Clark’s highly decorative, durable metal containers, while at the same time reducing the cost of integrating a tightly secure closure device into the container. The ring-type closure features tabs on the lid and container ring that are easy to lock securely together, stay locked through repeated handling, and then can be easily unlocked when needed.
Among the first applications of the product is for Kerr Dental’s new OptiDisc™ Finishing and Polishing Disc Set, used by dentists to achieve a higher surface gloss on teeth. The new container significantly improves durability and everyday functionality versus the simple cardboard container used previously.
